Gbeye Hospital and Maternity is an integrated medical out fit that has been involved in the provision of intensive and extensive health care services for more than two decades. The central focus is family and industrial medical care at present, and has further plans for backward and forward integration into preventive and post-treatment services. Examples of pre and post treatment interests are the production of hygienic table water cognizant of the prevalence of water borne diseases, and post-treatment education of discharged patients.
Gbeye Hospital and Maternity is also highly conscious of its social responsibility to the community. Thus it is an internationally recognized centre for immunization against childhood diseases as well as genotype testing under a Rotary International scheme.
Gbeye Hospital and Maternity commenced operations in 1983 at a rented accommodation in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. It currently operates from its permanent head office at #16 Ahoada Road, Omoku.
Gbeye Hospital and Maternity, also believes in the concept of corporate social responsibility, cooperating with government departments, NGOs, and individuals to provide a range of services including public enlightenment, HIV/AIDS screening, genotype testing, immunization, and other areas of social responsibilities.
